This Terms and Conditions, Responsibility and Binding Arbitration Agreement applies to the safari or tour you are booking, as well as to any trip to which you may transfer or on which you rebook. Rates quoted are valid through December 15, 2028, unless otherwise stated, and include the following where specified:
First-class or luxury lodge, camp, and hotel accommodations based on double occupancy with private bath or shower. Hotel and lodge categories reflect the opinion of Gaia Legacy Travel.
Three meals daily for the itinerary, typically beginning with breakfast on Day 2 or Day 3 (depending on arrival). Local beer and wine, bottled water, soft drinks, coffee, and tea are included with meals, unless otherwise noted.
Your travel advisor should arrange international flights. Internal flights, ground transfers, and safari transportation on tour must be arranged through Gaia Legacy Travel unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Tour rates include the transport and handling of two pieces of luggage per person in accordance with airline and safari operator regulations. Guests are strongly encouraged to travel with soft-sided or medium-size suitcases suitable for small aircraft and safari vehicles. Strict baggage restrictions often apply on bush flights within Tanzania and East Africa; details will be provided in your trip documentation. Luggage and personal effects are
at the owner’s risk throughout the tour.
Where available, Wi-Fi and laundry service are included in the tour rates (subject to property limitations; connectivity in remote areas may be limited or unavailable).
The tour program includes hotel taxes as imposed by local governments, entrance fees to National Parks and Game Reserves (including Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, and similar), and airport taxes for intra-country flights. International airport taxes and departure taxes are not included.
A 3% credit card processing surcharge will be applied to all payments made by credit card. This surcharge is not greater than our cost of acceptance and is assessed solely to offset payment-processing fees. No surcharge applies to payments made by ACH, wire transfer, check, or debit card. By paying with a credit card, you acknowledge and agree to this surcharge.
Cost of obtaining passports and visas, travel insurance, excess baggage charges, items of a personal nature (calls, faxes, emails, gratuities, alcoholic beverages beyond those included, etc.), deviations from the tour, and anything else not specifically included.
On certain extensions or private departures, Gaia Legacy Travel may provide local guides in place of a dedicated Gaia Legacy Travel director or host.
Cancellations must be made in writing and received by Gaia Legacy Travel. Cancellations are subject to the following forfeit as a percentage of full tour/air costs: up to 180 days prior to departure, 10 percent; from 179-120 days, 25 percent; 119-60 days, 50 percent; 59 days or less, 100 percent of the tour cost.
Trip cancellation and interruption insurance is strongly recommended. Different cancellation terms may apply to custom, private, or extension journeys.
Quoted tour rates include planning, handling, and operational charges. In the event of increases in foreign exchange rates, tariff rates, energy or fuel surcharges, park fees, or other increases, rates are subject to revision up to the time of final payment. Rates are subject to change.
Gaia Legacy Travel guarantees departure of all published group programs once a deposit is paid, excepting only cases of force majeure. This includes any event that adversely affects international travel patterns, such as epidemics, acts of God, government restrictions, terrorism, or any other circumstance beyond Gaia Legacy Travel’s control.

inconsistent with the best interests of the trip, other guests, or staff. In the event any person is removed from a trip, Gaia Legacy Travel’s only obligation is to refund to that person the portion of the payment allocable to unused services.
